Size & weight note

Shea butter is a natural product that is packed by hand. Sizes (8oz, 16oz and 32oz) refer to the approximate net weight of the product. Natural shea butter varies in density and can settle, soften or firm up with temperature changes, so the fill level and exact weight may vary slightly from container to container. This is normal and does not affect quality.

Storage

Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. It may soften in warm weather and firm up when cool.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this shea butter yellow?

Yellow shea butter gets its color from traditional preparation methods, sometimes with borututu root. Ivory shea butter is the same butter without this coloring.

Why is my shea butter grainy?

Temperature changes can make natural shea butter grainy. It melts smoothly on your skin and works just the same.

Why doesn't the jar look completely full?

Shea butter is sold by approximate weight, not volume. Natural butter can settle or shrink slightly, so the level may look lower than the container's top.
